4th of July Weekend

 4th of July:

We headed to Duck Creek on Thursday night. I drove Jeremy to work that morning so that I could pick him up and we could head right on our way. We stopped at chick fil a in flagstaff. That's our tradition so far. Blake played in the kids area and for the first time Blake climbed all the way up and went down the slide. After he did it once he kept doing it over and over. He was very upset when it was time to go. He fell asleep once it got dark so around 9pm. Then about an hour before we got to the cabin (midnight) Kylie woke up and was hungry so we pulled over and fed her and headed on our way.

We were pretty tired in Friday so we slept in as much as much as we could. Since Kylie slept most of the drive she was off schedule and didn't sleep as much as she usually does. We hung out around the cabin for the most part. Jeremy took Blake on the 4 wheeler just around the neighborhood slowly. Blake LOVED it!! He's completely addicted to 4-wheelers now. Every time we went outside he went up to it and wanted to ride it. Maybe we'll buy a 4 person one, one day. After nap time we went to cedar city and Jeremy and Blake played in the aquatic center. Kylie and I watched. Her umbilical cord hadn't fallen off yet so she couldn't go in the water. She still wore her swimsuit to get her tan on! :)

After we went to Walmart and grabbed some groceries.

Saturday morning we went to the fire station breakfast! We got there close to 8 and had pancakes, sausage, fruit and OJ. Then Blake looked at the tractors, helicopter and fire trucks! He got to ride in the front seat of a fire truck. We had to wait in line for a while but it was worth it. Jeremy, Kylie and I sat in the back of the fire truck. Blake was so good. He just sat there for the whole ride. Sadly we didn't get a good picture of him because they took him out before Jeremy could get a picture.

Saturday night we went to the town and had dinner. They have a new fry bread place so we tried it out. It was good just a log wait because it was crowded. Then we went to the parade. We love the duck creek parade because it's not super crowded like the cedar city one. Blake got so much candy! He was scared to grab it for the most part so the people tried to throw it on his chair. He loved the dots he also had his first sucker.

They had a laser show that night which Jeremy went to but the rest of us went to bed.

Sunday my sister and family came to the cabin. We went on a hike to the falls. Blake did really well and walked a lot of it himself. I was in pain by the end but I made it. After we made hot dogs and smores for dinner.

Monday we went to the cedar city parade in the morning. We were running late so missed about half of it. Blake was acting a little off but we figured he was just really scared of some of the floats. At the end of the parade there are a ton of floats with kids with water guns. Blake hates that. Like really HATES that. He cried and cried. He cried the whole way back to the car. We thought it was a little dramatic but it was nap time.

We got in the car, filled up with gas, ran through a drive through for lunch and headed to Phoenix. Blake instantly fell asleep and he kept whining and crying in his sleep. He was having nightmares of the water gun floats. I would run his leg to wake him up and tell him he was ok. Sometimes he would fall back asleep and then a few times he just cried. It was SO sad. This went on for about 5 hours. Once we got to Vegas he started  to wake up and so did Kylie. We thought we would see the Hoover damn quick but there was a huge backup so we turned around and headed home. We pulled over quick and fed Kylie and then found out Blake was burning up and had a fever. He wouldn't eat anything. I luckily had a box of applesauce so he ate a few of those but that's. I sat in the back with him to comfort him and he fell asleep right away. We got home around 6pm. Blake got mess watched some TV with daddy and then went to bed. We didn't see a single firework this year. It sucks that 4th of July is on a weekday because then you have to stay up late to see fireworks and then go to work the next day. Maybe next year.
