Week 25 2022

 Week 25

It was another fun week of summer. The kids went on the big Waterpark fieldtrip this week. I was a little stressed out about them, but they had so much fun! Blake was with the big kids because he can swim and is tall enough which he was excited about. Kylie was with most of her friends but was sad she wasn't tall enough for the big kid slides. Overall, they had a blast! They also went to the city pool on Friday! They love going to the city pool because of the snack bar. 

Friday was Blake's last swim meet that he will be able to go to. Sadly, he only did one race because it started lightning right before he went on the second race. I'm proud of him for pushing through. He loves to swim but it's really exhausting. He goes to Summer Camp all day and then he is at Swim Team all night. I think it will be good for him to get to just enjoy the rest of the Summer. We are so glad we had friends to hang out with at Swim Team!

On Saturday morning we went to the neighborhood pool. It was so much fun! We love to play frisbee and the kids like to play with the diving toys. 

We went back home and got ready for our date night. The kids went to a friend's house while we went out to a nice steakhouse, Steak 44. The food was REALLY good, and it was fun. 

Week 24 2022

 Week 24

Monday was a really exciting day for the family! We have been waiting for Tesla to arrive for over 7 months! The kids ask almost daily when it's going to come. It finally was delivered on Monday. We surprised the kids and picked them up from Summer Camp. They were shocked and excited! 

The kids had another fun week at Summer Camp. The field trips included Kona Ice, Bowling and a pool day at the city pool! They went bowling on Kylie's birthday which she thought was really cool. 

Thursday was Kylie's 6th birthday! We didn't do much to celebrate other than open presents and have a slice of cake. It was a CRAZY busy week at work so sadly I didn't have time to do anything else. Kylie was so excited to open her presents and immediately started playing with them. 

Friday after work we headed out on a camping trip. We joined our friends at Lyman Lake. We arrived late but in time for dinner. We made smores after dinner. The kids had so much fun making them with my smores candle. It worked out perfectly!

Saturday morning, we went to the lake and the kids had so much fun swimming, floating around the lake, and playing in the dirt. It started to rain as we were packing up so we ran back in the pouring ran. We had so much fun though! 

We had lunch in the storm. It was crazy. It was raining and super windy so everything was blowing everywhere. We all huddled up on one side of the table to try and avoid the rain and wind. 

After it cleared up a bit we headed to the park and picked out ice cream! 

We went on a hike with the older kids. We thought we would be able to get back before it started raining again but we were wrong. It started raining when we got to the top and then started hailing! It was insane. The kids were upset because the hail hurt so I huddled them together and tried to cover them. We ran to a cover but that didn't really help. It finally stopped and we went back to the tent. 

We got all changed and Jeremy made dinner. We did smores again. The kids loved it!

Blake and I slept in the Tesla on a mattress and Jeremy and Kylie slept in the tent. Blake had a ton of fun playing games at night on the Tesla screen while I relaxed on my phone. It was fun!

Sunday morning, we got up early. Most of the kids were up so Jeremy and I walked down to the playground with them. Jeremy made breakfast and then we packed up. It was an eventful trip! I wish it hadn't stormed so much but it made for a good memory! We are so thankful that we have made such good friends which made the trip SO much more fun! 

The drive home was so pretty!
