Week 34

 Week 34

I couldn't just pick one picture. These kids are crazy and had to include their fun pictures. You can probably tell which one came after I said just stand up straight. :)

I'm officially caught up on posts! The kids both started clubs this week. Kylie picked a dinosaur club on Thursdays and her Kindergarten teacher also teaches the club. Blake picked chess club which is on Fridays. Blake's chess club was very limited and it's being taught by a professional chess player or tournament winner. They both loved their clubs. When I pick the kids up from school the front office shares the most adorable stories with me. It sounds like Blake and Kylie are so sweet to each other at school and always run and give each other a hug when they see each other. Blake also walked Kylie to her club. It's so fun to hear them watching out for each other and getting along. :)

Jeremy was out of town for part of the week and then was in the office most of the rest of the week. It was nice to have the house to myself but Chloe was always watching me! I snapped a few pictures because it was funny. She usually hangs out with Jeremy during the day and definitely missed him.

We had a busy week so we decided to have a family night on Friday. We all picked Blake up from his chess club and headed straight to the Hurricane Harbor waterpark. It was such a fun night! The weather was perfect and the park was pretty empty. There were a few attractions/slides that were closed but we still had tons of fun! We found two open chairs under a covered area to put our stuff down and then headed to the slides. Jeremy and Blake did a few slides together while Kylie and I were in the wave pool. Kylie is too short for a good amount of the slides so we did have to split up a good amount. We headed to the rainbow slides next which is Kylie's favorite. Next, the kids played in the bucket play area while Jeremy and I hung out and were lucky to find two open chairs. Jeremy and Blake went on another slide which had a crazy long wait and Kylie and I hung out in the wave pool again. We met back up and ordered dinner. We sat in the dark and ate burgers and fries and Blake said it was the best day ever! It's always nice to hear those things! We went on a few more slides and then found a new area called paradise pier which was awesome! It was a fun party pool and Blake learned to do front flips in the water.

Kylie and I went bowling on Saturday. She loves bowling and we hadn't been in a few weeks. She was so well behaved and we had a really good time. We ordered a kids meal and drinks to enjoy while we bowled. After bowling we played some arcade games. She loves playing the games especially the candy claw game.

The rest of the weekend was relaxing and preparing for the upcoming week. I have a HUGE surprise planned for Blake and it happens on Wednesday so I have been trying to plan for it over the last few weeks but finalizing it all happened this weekend. I am SO excited for Wednesday and I'm hoping everything everything goes as planned and no one gets sick.

Week 33

 Week 33

Kylie was home Monday and Tuesday because of the COVID exposure the prior week. Kylie tested negative everyday since Saturday so she was cleared to go back to school on Wednesday. I was really excited for Wednesday. Kylie did her best but she isn't someone who can be alone for very long and doesn't care if you are in a meeting so it made Monday and Tuesday harder for me. She loves to do her school work so we did most of it on Tuesday. She also joined most of my meetings since she always wants to be with me.

The new Patrol Movie came out on Friday. I purchased tickets for us to go right after school on Friday. Kylie has been counting down for awhile so she was really excited. Blake wasn't excited about it but he seemed to really enjoy it. Kylie LOVED it. She was glued to the screen the entire movie and when the paw patrol got hurt or were sad she was crying. It was fun to get to do something as a family that she loves. I found on that you can watch the new movie at home if you have the paramount plus subscription and she has watched the movie probably 10 times since we went to the theater.

Saturday and Sunday were spent almost entirely at home. Kylie started coughing Saturday morning so we kept her home and tested her for COVID which all came back negative. We cancelled swim lessons and did lessons at home in our pool.

Week 32

 Week 32

This was the kids first full week of school. Blake struggled a lot with focusing on his homework. He has a good amount of homework and we pay for the after school program because he asked if he could so he could get his homework done before going home. This week he barely did any of his homework and then wasn't focusing once we got home. We survived but it was rough. I do have to say that they tell me about how they see each other during the day and say hi and give each other hugs. It melts my heart because they fight so bad at home so it's nice to hear they are nice to each other at school. :)

Wednesday night, Blake told me that his throat hurt so I did an at-home strep test and it came back positive. I took him to urgent care really early Thursday morning. We were literally waiting outside the door 10 minutes before they opened because I had meetings for work. :) The test at the urgent care came back negative but the doctor decided to send it to a lab and put him on medicine while we waited. I kept him home the rest of the day to be safe.

Thursday night, Jeremy's brother came into town. Jeremy and Blake took Friday off to float down the river with Josh and Asher. It sounds like they had fun but it was a little long. They took Chloe with them and she had her own float.

Kylie and I planned a surprise party for Jeremy and Josh. Kylie and I put on birthday hats and decorated and yelled "SURPRISE" when they walked in the door. I think they were surprised and had fun. I had a present for each of them and then we had cheesecake later. The boys played video games all night and I watched the AZ Cardinals first pre-season game.

Friday night, around 9pm, I received a call from the kids head of school. She informed me that Kylie had been exposed to COVID and would not be allowed back on campus until Wednesday, if she tested negative on Monday. This was stressful because we had family now at our house that was flying home on Sunday. We needed up testing her on Saturday and Sunday morning and both came back negative.

Saturday, we woke up and hurried out the door to go on a little hike. After, we grabbed breakfast at McDonalds and headed to Tempe. We brought our scooters and a bike to ride along the river. Jeremy and I ended up renting scooters as well so we could all stay together. Kylie went on the scooter with Jeremy and then Josh for a little bit. She doesn't like standing on it so she wasn't really excited about it but she did it.

Jeremy and I parked our scooters near the car and then started walking to the car while Josh and Blake went a little farther along the path. Kylie was walking behind us and Asher was riding the bike. We were about 20 feet from the car and we head a thud and then Kylie starts screaming. Asher had run right over Kylie and she hit the concrete face forward. Jeremy was really close and helped her up while I ran back to them. By the time I got there there was blood everywhere. She was spitting and coughing up blood. Ever since her incident at daycare I am traumatized by accidents and I freeze and freak out. I hope one day I can adjust this because I know it's not the best but I'm still traumatized, rightfully so. Anyways, I ended up swooping her up and hurrying her to the back of the car. Thankfully, McDonalds put tons of napkins in the food bag and I started wiping her face up to find out how bad it was and where it was bleeding from. She ended up getting a decent size cut from the outside of her lip to the inside of her mouth. She also scarped up her face. The bleeding stopped after a few minutes and I hurried her home to get ice.

Blake took good care of her in the car and handed her napkins. He was such a worried brother. Once we got home she laid on the couch and took in all the pampering. Her lip did swell a good amount and Jeremy and I weren't on the same page about whether she needed to see a doctor for stiches. We ended up waiting it out and kept an eye on it. Kylie spent most of the day laying around and attached to my hip. We did go swimming for a little bit. The kids had fun playing in the pool together.
