Week 18 2022

 Week 18 2022

This was a super busy week for work. The kids didn't have an activities this week, so that was really helpful. The best part of the week was the Suns playoff games! They won the Monday and Wednesday games. They were both amazing games and so much fun to watch. I keep going back and forth on whether I want to watch a game in person or not.

Friday, the kids had an early out day so I invited two of their friends over to play for a few hours. The kids loved it! It's been good for Kylie to improve on her sharing skills. We also ended up getting AZ Diamondback tickets last minute on Friday. This meant I missed watching the Suns game live but they ended up losing, so it was a good game to miss. The AZ Diamondbacks on the other hand had a good game! We had a ton of fun and the kids now want to go to every game. Before the game started, the kids were able to get their baseballs signed by David Peralta. Even better, he signed the ball he was warming up with and signed it and gave it to Blake! Kylie was jealous so I told her that he practiced with hers as well. Which could be true because it came from pre-game batting practice. haha!

Baxter played the kids a visit at our seats and he also signed their baseballs. It was a really fun last minute family night.

Saturday morning we took the kids to one of the neighborhood pools. We wanted to try and refresh their swimming skills. Blake did pretty well but Kylie has gone back to refusing to swim. She is determined that she is going to drown and wants nothing to do with swimming. She does a little better with Jeremy but the ending didn't go well so she might never get in the pool again. haha!

We went home and got ready for lunch. The kids wanted to take me to one of my favorite restaurants for Mother's Day. There was a little bit of a wait but it wasn't too bad. I ordered my favorite Chicken Parm and Pazooki! The kids did really well and ate pretty much all of their food so we let them get their own Pazooki. They also gave all the moms a limited edition wine glass. I'm excited to use it for my coke-zero. :)

We had a massive trip to Costco and then I spent the rest of the day cleaning the house and watching sports. Baseball is more relaxing to watch than basketball because it's not so fast paced.

Mother's Day was a very low-key day. The kids gave me cards and flowers in the morning and we had Costco Cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Jeremy took the kids to the park for a little bit and then I watched the Suns game. It was a hard game to watch. I watched the Diamondbacks game after, and they won which was awesome. They have been doing really good the last few weeks.

Week 17 2022

 Week 17 2022

This was the last week of soccer for the kids. Blake had practice on Monday and Wednesday and Kylie had practice on Wednesday. On Wednesday, they both had parents versus kids, so I went on Wednesday to play with Blake's team. He was so excited! We will have about two weeks off before they both start Swim Team and then Summer Camp. It's going to be a crazy summer but so much fun for them.

Thursday night, the school had a teachers kick ball game. The school did a great job at pumping the kids up so you had no choice but to go. Jeremy was stuck in traffic so I packed up and took the kids alone. We ended up finding our friends so I had someone to sit with before Jeremy arrived. The kids made posters, had their face painted, and got a tattoo. It was so fun to see them interacting with all their friends. After the kickball game we went home and watched the Phoenix Suns win the first series. It was really exciting!

Friday was Chloe's birthday. The kids always insist on having a birthday party so we wrapped a few presents and had cookies. Chloe took her new bone and disappeared for the night. I think she had an awesome birthday.

Saturday was a fun filled day. We started the day off early at Kylie's game at 8am. She did pretty good and made some good friends on her team. She had a ton of fun and said she wants to play again. I feel like she would like dance or gymnastics but so far she refuses. We will see what the fall brings. They handed out medals after the game ended and Kylie was SO excited!

Blake had his last game later in the day at 2pm. It was hot but he played his best game yet. I was so proud of him. He was kicking the ball so hard and playing hard. He was arguing with one of the refs for one of their calls. It made me laugh because I think he learned that from the Phoenix Suns games I've been watching. He also got his medal at the end of the game and then the team headed over to Peter Piper for a party. Blake had fun playing with his team. They loved playing air hockey.

We finally got their soccer pictures which turned out pretty good.

Week 16 2022

 Week 16

Weekday nights consisted of soccer practice or watching NBA playoffs. Kylie loves to watch the games with me but still gets super competitive and asks every 2 seconds who is winning. I finally pointed out to her that she can figure that out on her own by deciding which number is higher. That has cut it down to her asking every 30 seconds. :)

Kylie's graduation picture came in this week. It turned out adorable and she looks so grown up.

Friday night, I took Blake to see the Bad Guys movie at the Harkins theater near us. The only time that worked out was in the Cine 1 theater which was fun. The seats were a little nicer and the theater was huge. Blake was pretty impressed. I let him get his own Icee and we shared a popcorn. It was fun to get to talk before the movie started. On our way out he said it was the best movie ever!

Saturday started with Kylie's soccer game and then Blake's game was right after.

I headed out after to run errands and then on my way home a huge rock came flying into my windshield and put a hole in it. It was the loudest thing ever. It's one of those things that really stinks but there isn't anything I could have done about it.

We finished the weekend going to our friends for dinner and the kids had a blast playing. We ended up going to turtle park. After we went home and watched the Suns Game.
