Week 48

Week 48

I'm super behind on post but hoping to catch up this week.

On Monday, I was running errands and someone ran right into the back of my car when I was stopped. The guy was super nice and honest which I appreciated. The only damage was to my bumper.

On Tuesday, I finally finished decorating the front door. The garland kept falling down which was super annoying. I love how it turned out!

On Wednesday, we went and picked up a dining room table after work. I have no idea what I was thinking but it was huge. We used both cars to the max. It's funny watching everyone stare at us as we tie things to our roofs. Thankfully it all fit and we were able to get home safely.

Thursday, we headed to Magic Mountain in California. We arrived pretty late because we ran into a ton of traffic. We stayed really close to the park and even had a view of the park from our hotel room. Friday morning we headed to the park a little before it opened. Shortly after we arrived they opened the gates. We had a ton of fun! We went on tons of rollercoasters and every ride Kylie was tall enough for. She was a finger tip too short for a good amount of roller coasters. We tried to get her on every time but they would measure and say no. She would cry so hard and everyone felt so bad. The worst part was towards the end of the night we found a roller coaster that on the map said she would be able to ride and when we got up to the ride they said different height requirements. That one was really hard on Kylie. She loves roller coaster and just wants to ride them with her dad.

My favorite part of the trip was watching Jeremy and Kylie bond. Kylie is super attached to me and at times it really hurts Jeremy's feelings. This trip was mostly all about dad. We were eating breakfast at the hotel and Jeremy was asking Blake if he's excited to ride roller coasters with him and Kylie got up and stood next to Jeremy and asked him if she could ride with him too. Of course he said yes and then she gave him a huge hug! It was so sweet!

The kids had a ton of fun riding all the little kid rides together. There were no lines so they were able to just run from ride to ride. It was fun to see them getting along and playing together.

At night, the park turning to "Holiday at the Parks". We walked the entire park again to see all the lights. Blake's favorite was the peppermint land. We stayed until the park closed and were freezing but had so much fun!

On Saturday, we scootered to the beach. It was a long ride and was freezing! We ended up going to Starbucks to get some hot chocolate to warm up. We also randomly decided to get Kylie a hair cut. It turned out so cute!

Next, we went to the boardwalk. We let the kids pick out sun glasses. Kylie picked the first one she saw and Blake looked at 100's before he made a decision. I had no idea how picky Blake was. haha! Kylie took some cute pictures with her new hair! We also found an awesome burger and ice cream shop. It was really good!

We headed back to the car and our scooters ended up dying. We found an area with outlets and charged them for a little while. We headed back on the path and not long after Blake's scootered died. We ended up putting it in Jeremys backpack and Blake went on Jeremy's scooter with him. Shortly after our scooters started to run out of battery but we were able to coast along and they died right when we got to the end of the path. It was a little stressful but the kids will probably always remember.

We ended up getting a hotel about 2 hours from home. Jeremy and I were both drained and didn't want to risk falling asleep. The kids were excited when we woke them up and told them we were staying at another hotel.

We barely made it back home in time for our neighborhood Christmas party. It was a ton of fun! The kids started by writing letters to Santa and then had pictures taken with Santa. Next, the kids picked either a balloon animal or face paint. Blake picked a balloon animal and Kylie picked face paint. Kylie was in heaven! She has always wanted her face painted but I guess I've never let her. It ended with decorating a cookie and getting a goodie bag. The kids had a ton of fun and this is exactly why we moved to this area. I love all the fun events!
