4th of July

For 4th of July Blake, Jeremy and I decided to go to the Cabin. We took Thursday off and Friday we had off for 4th of July. We went down to Cedar City one day and went to the aquatic center with Blake. It was so much fun! They had a lazy river, water slide, playground in the water and a beach type entry so Blake could crawl around. They had fun things coming out of the water that he could crawl on or play with. It was a blast! It will be a tradition every time we go to the Cabin now. We also went to wingers before the pool which was yummy! Jeremy makes Wingers sticky fingers and his are better though!

Jeremy did a lot of four wheeling. When Blake would take a nap he would go off on a trip. Since Blake isn’t old enough this was the best option. Blake liked hanging out at the cabin but I think it was pretty boring for him since he can’t really do much there. We did take him on wagon rides which was fun. He went on the 4 wheeler just on the driveway, he thought that was pretty cool.

For 4th of July we started off by going to the firetruck breakfast in Duck Creek. It was a lot bigger than we thought! They had pancakes, eggs, and sausage with Orange Juice. They had a bunch of activities for kids and fire truck rides. We only went quick for breakfast and then headed down to Cedar City for the parade. The parade was really fun! I think Blake enjoyed it. We let him pick up some candy that was thrown at him. We were surrounded by older kids so it was hard to catch any. Towards the end they had nonstop water gun floats which neither Blake or I enjoyed so we headed out. Later we went to the Duck Creek parade. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. We got a lot of candy from that parade! Overall it was a lot more homey and fun! We originally planned on going to Brian Head for the fireworks but decided to head to bed early and then get up super early to head home.

We ended up getting a flat tire on our way home so it put a sad ending on the trip. Jeremy’s going to have a hard time convincing me to go to the cabin for a while. We did stop in Flagstaff at the mall so Blake could play in the play area. He loves the mall play areas. They are free and give us a nice break too!
