Week 27

 Week 27

This was a busy fun filled week. We started the week off heading to Cedar City. Cedar City celebrated the 4th of July on Monday so we were able to celebrate for an extra day. We started the day off with the parade. It's not our favorite parade but it was something fun to do. We headed down a little early and reserved a spot for the family. The parade wasn't the kids favorite because there wasn't very much candy thrown. There was a ton of otter pops though. Somehow we ended up with a stack of them.

Next, we headed to the aquatic center to go to the water park and pool. The kids were so excited to go swimming with their grandparents and cousins. Blake loved the waterslide and the lazy river. Kylie liked playing on the bucket playground and lazy river. Blake jumped off a diving board for the first time and did an awesome job.

After swimming we were all hungry so we headed over to a burger shop. It's our tradition every year to go to the waterpark and then the same burger place. The food is delicious and pretty affordable. The weather was perfect this year so we were able eat at the park next door. The 4th of July park activities were still going on so I took the four oldest kids over to the bounce houses and bought them tickets to go on a few attractions. They had fun racing each other and the three oldest battled in the wrestling bounce house.

On our way home we found a little shack called soda geek or something like that. We turned and then saw a huge line of cars and almost didn't go but we decided to try it out. We found out they are famous for their drinks but also their cotton candy.  Jeremy and I picked drinks and the kids picked a cotton candy each. Blake picked root beer and Kylie picked strawberry. They were huge and really good! We will definitely be going back if they are still around next year.

The rest of the day was spent at the cabin playing with cousins, playing cornhole and Blake learning how to play chess. Blake has been playing chess on his tablet ever since.

Tuesday we took the kids horseback riding and then went on a razor ride to get burgers and ice cream. On our way we ran into an area with tons of sheep. The kids loved seeing all the sheep. On the way back we stopped to look at the river and waterfall.

Wednesday was a chill day. The kids went to the caves with grandma and grandpa while I helped Jeremy and they had so much fun! Kylie had so much fun playing with her cousin Hannah. We made smores at night in the oven and they were a bust but still tasty.

Thursday we headed home and Josh's family headed to our house. The kids were so excited to have cousins come to their house. Before we left for our trip we turned our a/c off so when we arrived home we immediately turned our a/c on. We quickly realized there was something wrong with our a/c as it wasn't cooling the house down. The house was extremely hot so we had to leave for a little while and hoped it cooled down. We went to Fuddruckers for dinner and met up with Josh's family. We headed home after and the house had cooled down a few degrees but still around 90 degrees. They were really good sports and didn't complain. The kids didn't seem to realize the heat at all. They had so much fun playing together.

Friday morning the house was a little cooler but still high 80's. We headed to the west valley for breakfast and then took the kids to an indoor playland. The kids had tons of fun and Kylie and Hannah were so cute playing together. They were both so brave and did the rock climbing a few times.

We came home and went swimming! The kids loved the waterslide and ended up turning it into a boat and created a hiding spot under the slide. Following the pool we hurried over to Mexican for dinner and the kids were all so good and played with each other.

Saturday morning, Josh's family left really early. The kids were super sad. We had a very busy day. The kids had swim lessons which went well but I could tell that not going for two weeks affected Kylie a lot. We went swimming at home after their lessons. Kylie loves coming home and doing a second lesson with me. We also learned that we probably need to replace our A/C. It works but in it's current state it can't keep up with the AZ heat.

Kylie and I watched a few baseball games. She loves to come and lay with me and watch the games. She loves to talk about what's happening during the game.
