Week 32
This was the kids first week of school. Overall, I would say they were excited. Kylie seems to really like her teacher and is settling in well. Blake didn't get the teacher he wanted but he also seems to be doing well.

Week 31
This was the last week of Summer Break for the kids. Monday, I went and volunteered with my work team. It was really fun to get together and do something for the community. The kids were home with Jeremy all day and it looked like a tornado went through the house when I arrived back home.
Tuesday and Wednesday the kids went to the Summer Camp at Lifetime Fitness. They did tons of activities but really wanted to stay home the rest of the week.
On Thursday, I moved my "office" to Urban Air where the kids played most of the afternoon. They had a BLAST!! There are so many different things to do there, so they were entertained the entire time and I was able to work stress free. I was so proud of Blake. He tried out the zipline and ropes course all on his own and he loved both! He is scared of heights, so he typically refuses to even try but he went all on his own and had a blast. Kylie was scared of the zipline but finally gave it a try when we were about to leave and loved it. I couldn't get her off. I think I'm going to have to buy a membership and then the kids and I can go there on half days and random no school days. It's really hard to work with them at home, so this has been the best solution I have found.
On Friday, the kids had "Meet the Teacher". They found their desk and met their teacher. Then we went over to the neighborhood Back to School Bash! There was face paint, prizes, cotton cake, snow cones, and water slides. The kids had tons of fun!
Week 30
This was the kids last week of Summer Camp! They had a field trip everyday which made it so fun for them. They went to Kona Ice, Peter Piper, Harkins Movie Theater (Buzz Lightyear), Jakes Unlimited, and the city pool. They made so many friends at Summer Camp and it was sad for them to say goodbye. It was the saddest thing picking up the kids on Friday afternoon. Some of the teachers were leaving when I arrived, and all the kids were crying because they had to say goodbye to the teachers! It just shows how awesome their camp teachers were.
On Friday, the kids' school had a glow party. Jeremy and I took Blake and Kylie as well as two of their friends. We stopped at Taco Bell first to grab dinner. I think our order got lost because it took forever and then they gave us a bag that had nothing to do with our order. haha! They got it all figured out but was a little frustrating. Next, we headed over to the school. They had drinks, donuts, face paint, glow wands, and glow bracelets/necklaces. It was a big dance party with some games. Jeremy wouldn't dance with me, so I hung out with the kids. We hung out at our friends for a little bit after and then the kids went scorpion hunting with the dads. They didn't find anything.
Saturday, we toured two gyms near us. The first one was pretty cheap, but the kid's zone was mostly for little kids. The sales guy was really rude, so we decided to leave. We headed to Lifetime Fitness next. We were members years ago so we knew we would like it. I mostly wanted to hear about the kid's events and benefits. They have summer camps, parent's night out, 2.5 hours a day of childcare for working out, swim lessons, and kid's classes. I was sold as soon as they said they had summer camp for the upcoming week. Currently, the kids were going to have to be home with us while we work.
We went over to Oreganos to have lunch and talk it over. It took quite the sales pitch, but I was able to convince Jeremy. After lunch we went back to the gym to sign-up and workout. I think it's going to be a good thing for us. We had fun working out together and the kids had fun in the kid's center. I'm hoping to find classes that they like and that will help us create a schedule. They had parent's night out every Saturday so Jeremy and I will be able to go on dates again! We probably won't go every Saturday but at least twice a month if we are able to register.
