Week 21
The kids started summer camp this week! I'm so excited for how much fun they are going to have this summer. They go on at least two fieldtrips a week and there are so many different activities for them to choose from during the day. This week they went to Great Skate, Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium, and the city pool.
We went to Swim Team most nights this week. It's hot but manageable so far. Our friends do Swim Team as well, so it makes it more fun for the kids to have someone to play with and I have someone to hang out with. Kylie ended up not making the Swim Team, so I switched her to Swim Lessons. She has anxiety about how deep the pool is. Her Swim Team is on the lane that is 14 feet deep and that really scares her. I encouraged her to try, and she did but ultimately, she wasn't ready to swim the 25 yards without touching the sides. I'm just proud of her trying and we will work on helping her through her anxiety.
On Friday, Jeremy and I both took the day off and spent the day together. We dropped the kids off at Summer Camp and headed to Top Golf. We played for a little over 90 minutes. It was so fun just hanging out and spending time together. The first few games Jeremy was teaching me how to swing and then the last game we had a bet going. I ended up winning which was awesome!
Next, we went out to lunch and then went shopping for summer clothes for Jeremy. We ended with going to Costco which was really fun to go without the kids. It was so much more relaxing, and I probably bought way too much stuff.
Saturday morning, Jeremy and Blake headed out on a Camping trip. They went to Munds Park near Flagstaff. They made burgers, flew a kite, went to the caves, and ate ice cream. They had reservations for the chair lift, but it ended up being closed due to weather. They ended up coming home a day early because Blake was sick. He had a 103.5 fever and was extremely tired.
Kylie and I went to an AZ Diamondbacks game. She has been wanted to sit in the top section, so I bought us tickets in the middle section which wasn't too bad. They were playing the Dodgers and the stadium had more Doger fans than Diamondbacks so Kylie would cry when they cheered for the Dodgers. I probably won't take her to a Dodgers game again, but we had fun. She visited her best friend Baxter and played at the playground. At the end of the game, she was able to run the bases which was fun.
