Week 20
This was the kids last week of school and first week of Swim Team. It was a CRAZY busy week. Each day was a different theme/activity which was fun for the kids and crazy for mom to keep up with. The kids really liked swim team the first week. They have to be able to swim 25 yards without touching the ropes by the end of week 2. Blake was able to do it the first day, but Kylie was too scared to even try because of how deep the pool was.
Kylie graduated Kindergarten on Wednesday! It was in the morning, and I was so glad that Jeremy, Blake, and I were able to attend. Blake had a drive-thru graduation because of COVID so it was fun to get to experience a traditional one with Kylie. She was so excited to sing the songs and get her diploma. We went to Swim Team at night and Jeremy set up a surprise graduation party for Kylie at home. She was really excited!
Friday was the last day of school and it was an early release day. The kids had parties all morning and then went home at 11. We did our traditional last day of school pictures. I can't believe how fast this school year went. They started at Basis Phoenix Central and ended at Verrado.
When I picked up the kids from school, Kylie decided it would be a good idea to use a Sharpie to write her name on the cement. I was waiting for Blake to come out and turned back and saw Kylie and a friend about to write on the cement with a Sharpie. I started running towards them and yelled "STOP". Kylie quickly decided she needed to sign her name and proceeded to write her name really big. I went home and told Jeremy and we went back to the school at the end of the day and were thankfully able to get it out for the most part. I'm sure everyone was wondering what we were doing with a bunch of cleaning supplies by the baseball field. :)
On Saturday, we celebrated Kylie's birthday at Peter Piper with her friends. She ended up having a good turn out from school friends and church friends. We decided to celebrate her birthday early before her friends headed out for the summer. We started the party with a fun puppy sticker craft while we waited for friends to arrive. Next, the kids played tons of games. For lunch, the kids had soda and pizza. Kylie's favorite part was the cake. I ordered a traditional cake and then decorated it to match the Puppy Pals theme. Kylie was spoiled with tons of fun presents from her friends.
I caught Kylie admiring her adorable outfit on Sunday. I had to snap a quick picture. :)
