Week 14 - 2021
This week was a big week! We had lots of fun this week as well as some big moments. Monday morning Jeremy and I dropped the kids off at school and headed to the Cardinals stadium to get our first COVID vaccine shot. The line wasn't too long. In the news it mentioned times where people were in line for up to 4 hours. It was fun to be able to go through the experience together and have a little date. We headed back home and worked for the rest of the day. Jeremy didn't seem to have any side effects but I had a pretty bad headache. The next day I was pretty tired and had a headache but again Jeremy seemed fine.
Tuesday night Jeremy and Blake tried out the scooters again. We purchased a chair for Kylie to sit on so she tried it as well.
Wednesday night my sister and her family came over to visit. We had so much fun! The kids went swimming even though the water was still pretty cold. We had pulled pork that Jeremy smoked for us! It was SO good! We all played around with the electric scooters after dinner. It was super fun. The kids had so much fun together and Kylie wanted to go live with them.
Saturday morning we got up early and went on a family scooter ride. Kylie did so good with sitting on her seat and holding onto Jeremy and Blake took his bike. His current scooter is too slow so we ordered him a new one that goes a little faster. We went to First Watch for breakfast which was pretty good. Blake ordered French toast, Kylie ordered chocolate chip pancakes, Jeremy ordered a sandwich and I ordered lemon ricotta pancakes which Jeremy wanted to try. We will definitely be going back in the future. After breakfast we went to Blakes school at his request and then went along the canal back home.
Saturday afternoon the kids had their second swim lesson. They both did really well. Kylie is willing to do anything the teacher says which was awesome! Sometimes it is scary that she doesn't have that scared sensor but it has it's benefits. Blake did amazing as well. I think he's going to fly through the next few levels of classes once we have a consistent schedule with the same teacher. We are going to San Diego next weekend so I rescheduled the kids next swim lesson for Tuesday night.
