Week 28 2022

 Week 28

Our road trip continued this week. On Monday, we went to the Edmonton Mall. We started at the Waterpark and had so much fun! We started with the waterslides. Kylie was excited she was tall enough, but she was scared to ride most of them. Blake did amazing! He is scared of heights, so he usually doesn't want to go on slides, but he went on almost all of them. He didn't end up going on the floor drop one, but he tried twice. He got too scared and decided not to do it. The kids loved the wave pool! 

We headed to lunch next and then walked around most of the mall. We planned to ride one or two rides but the prices by the ride were insane, so we decided to skip it. We found a few souvenirs and then head back to Calgary.

Monday night we stayed in Calgary since Kylie and I were flying home on Tuesday. Jeremy and Blake started the drive home on Tuesday morning. They drove to Idaho Falls and slept in the Tesla at a destination charger. 

Kylie and I spent the day exploring Calgary. We started with walking to Tim Hortons for breakfast. Next, we took a shuttle to the airport to check-in our suitcase. We then took a bus to the C-Train and took the C-Train to the Calgary Zoo. We had fun exploring the zoo! It was very hot, so we grabbed lots of drinks and ice cream!

Next, we took the C-Train to the downtown area. We walked around and ended up at the Calgary Tower. Kylie loved walking around the top. She didn't even hesitate walking on the clear glass section. She also insisted we watch the video about the Tower. 

We took the C-Train back to the bus and then took the bus back to the airport. It was about an hour and a half trip after waiting time, but it was really fun! I was so proud of us for exploring the city! We grabbed dinner at the airport and then our flight ended up getting delayed a few hours. We ended up getting home around midnight, but Kylie did pretty good. We ended up with our own row and Kylie fell asleep for the last hour of the flight. 

On Wednesday, Jeremy and Blake went to an amusement park with his brother and his family! It sounds like they had tons of fun! Blake told me he went on one really big roller coaster and was really proud of himself. Thursday and Friday they spent in Duck Creek, Utah. They ended upcoming home a day early and drove home Friday night. Kylie and I went to "Family Night" at her Summer Camp which included carnival games, food trucks, and crafts. We came home and had a sleepover. She has been begging me for a sleepover, so I finally gave in on Friday night. 

On Saturday, I took her to a birthday party for one of her school friends. It was an adorable tea party. Kylie was super shy at the beginning but eventually warmed it. Elsa showed up and read the kids stories, painted the kids' faces, sang sounds, took pictures, etc. It was so cute! Kylie had so much fun!
