Week 9
I signed the kids up for a soccer team a few weeks ago and this was the first week of practice. Currently, Blake does not have a couch so I'm not sure if he is going to be able to play this season. Kylie had her first practice on Wednesday night. Jeremy took her and she did pretty good. She gets tired fast so we will have to work on that.
On Friday I found out that Blake was assigned a coach! This was really exciting, so he now gets to play this season. On Saturday it was picture day, so we took the kids to get individual pictures and team pictures. It was really fun for Blake to meet his team. He was so excited when he found out one of his classmates is on his team! After pictures, Jeremy and I worked on hanging up the last wall decoration for the gym. It was a custom decal that I purchased that says, "Larson Family Gym". It was a lot more difficult to hang than I expected but we did it!
This weekend was that start of spring break, so we headed to California on Sunday. Jeremy and I decided that we wanted to go to a theme park. We took Blake to Knotts Berry Farm for his 2nd birthday, but we hadn't been back since. On our drive we stopped in Palm Springs. Jeremy found a vintage market, so we stopped and checked it out. Blake had a super bad headache, so we gave him some Tylenol and drove to main street. Kylie was struggling with listening, so she mostly hung out with Jeremy. Blake took a picture on a motorcycle, and we stopped for some ice cream.
We found a new gas station on the Indian reservation. We filled up, grabbed snacks, and tried out the brand-new car wash.
We arrived at the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel late afternoon. We hurried and checked in and then headed to the Knotts Berry Farm shopping/town area to have dinner. We immediately regretted the decision because both kids had their worst behavior at the restaurant. I think they had too much energy and sitting down at a restaurant was hard for them. The food was good though! We walked around the shops after, and Blake found a stand with key chains and "Blake" and "Paul" were right next to each other, so he was so excited that he found his name! We walked back to the hotel and relaxed for the rest of the night.
