Week 43
The kids had their 1st day of school at the new school on Monday. It was spirit week so the 1st day was wear your clothes backwards. The kids decided they wanted to participate but it was funny showing up on the 1st day with their clothes on backwards. The kids were nervous but excited for the new school. The first day went really well and Blake loves his teacher and Kylie talked about all her new friends.
Saturday morning we went to a pet event in the neighborhood which included a pet costume parade. Kylie was so excited about it. She loved walking in the parade with Chloe. She also learned how to brush Chloe's teach at one of the vendor booths and now wants to brush her teeth all the time.
Our neighborhood had a Carnival Saturday afternoon! We had so much fun at the Carnival! We arrived a little early to get in line and then we were the first to ride one of the rides. It was perfect in the beginning because the lines were so short we were able to quickly ride the rides. We were all able to ride together which was so fun! The kids tried out all the rides and loved them. Our favorite was the swings.
We took a break after a few hours and went back home to rest. It was pretty hot mid-day. We went back late afternoon to watch the circus. We barely made it in time to get seats. Jeremy took the kids to get balloon animals while we waiting for the circus to start. After the circus the kids played a few games and then we decided to head home. The lines for the rides were really long at night. Overall it was a super fun night!
Halloween came so fast this year. The kids picked their costumes awhile ago and Kylie was Superwomen and Blake was Star Wars. It was really fun to be in the new neighborhood for Halloween. We were able to meet some of our neighbors which was nice! We started trick or treating at a candy loop in Victory and then headed to main street. There were some really cool houses on main street but it was SUPER crowded. We ended with just going around our street and Blake and I went to a few other streets near us. Overall, the kids collected a ton of candy and had a lot of fun. Honestly, Kylie's favorite part was handing out candy at the end of the night.
